Meet Your Therapist

Ella MacLean is an occupational therapist with a uniquely body-based, sensory-motor approach that supports individuals to grow through safety, connection and movement. With a background in Pilates, training in sensory integration and reflex integration, and deep experience across home, school and clinic environments, Ella brings a highly attuned, whole-person lens to every session.

Her work blends therapeutic movement, sensory-motor development, play, cognitive approaches and trauma-informed practice to support individuals with regulation, attention, coordination, transitions, handwriting, emotional expression and environmental participation. Ella is known for her warm, collaborative style and her ability to see what sits beneath behaviour — helping build the internal foundations of strength, regulation and confidence needed to succeed.

Ella’s approach is grounded in safety, attunement and connection. She takes a cue-based, relational approach, using connection and attunement to support regulation and confidence. Her work integrates sensory-motor development with a trauma-informed lens, supporting the nervous system first so skills can emerge with confidence and ease. Families and Individuals value Ella’s warmth, presence and ability to create a therapeutic relationship where children can explore, grow and thrive.

Ella provides in-person therapy across Sydney’s Eastern and Inner suburbs, with telehealth available Australia wide. Ella works Tuesdays, Thursdays and Friday. No formal referral is required.
